2 Yeas Ago......

Two years ago I filled out my first piece of paperwork to begin this amazing adoption journey!  I cannot believe where God has brought me to today.  He has shown me how my timing is not what's important.  He has shown me how to trust in him like I never have before, and YES, he PROVIDES!!!  He has broken my heart in a way that I never knew it could be broken, yet filled it with a hope and joy that is indescribable.  Although I have no idea who my child is, if my child will be a boy or a girl, how old or even where in Peru my child is from.....I can tell you my heart aches daily for my child.  I pray that my child is being taken care of and loved until I can get there!  Some days I feel so close....yet so far away.

Adoption Update:
I spent this summer working on the dossier paperwork.  This paperwork is what will be sent to Peru to allow me to be matched with a child.  I have been blessed to have so many friends and family help me raise $1781 through donations, Pampered Chef fundraiser, yard sale, Chic-Fil-A fundraiser and Der Dutchman fundraiser....can you say YEA GOD!!!  At this point I am still trying to come up with $4200 to complete the dossier step.  God is good!  I am trying to finish this step by the end of September, but again, it's God's timing not mine.

One more step closer!  My I-800A has been received and last Friday I went to get my biometrics finger printing.  I feel so blessed with each and every step that I go through.  My appointment was not until April 23rd but I had taken last Friday afternoon off for a doctor's appointment and finished early so I thought I would try and rush downtown to see if I could do a walk-in for my biometrics.  Walked in, not a person in the room!  The lady behind the counter was so nice, kept asking me questions about my adoption.  She really made me feel at easy.  For some crazy reason, each time I have my finger prints done I panic that they are going to somehow get mixed up with someone else's and create a huge mess.  I know, God's got it under control:)
Now I'm waiting to get my I-800A approval to bring my child home from Peru!

I800-A, It's On It's Way!

So many feelings, so many emotions.  I think I find myself crying more than not.  Well today, it was at the post office while mailing my I800-A.  My hands were shaking, I was so nervous.  Such a BIG step to make this adoption happen.  I felt like my entire life was in one envelop.  One envelop that will change my life FOREVER!  I prayed before I left the house to head off to the post office.  Then, again before I got out of the car at the post office....oh, the post office is less than half a mile from my house.  I just wanted to make sure God knew what I was doing:)  Then as the man behind the counter was about to place my big important envelop in the bin I said, "Wait, can I ask you a crazy favor?  Will you take a picture of me with this envelop?"  Then I tried to tell him that I was adopting and that this envelop was very important.  Yip, the tears began to flow.  He either thought I was crazy myself or he was really compassionate, he said that's wonderful, good luck.  So, here it is.  It's off to Texas.....and yes I will pray again tonight for its safe arrival.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

I cannot begin to thank my family and countless friends for all of your AMAZINGLY GENEROUS help with the spaghetti dinner!!! God worked His glorious miracles again and the donations just keep multiplying.

In the midst of my nervousness yesterday God once again placed 2 reminders in front of me just at the right time to let me know this is HIS plan and He's got it all taken care of.
One was a Willo...w Tree figure called "Child of my Heart"- the card with it said, Into my heart you came, bringing sun into my life, making family our name.
The second was a mom and her adopted Guatemalan daughter, oh this was as I was almost in tears from so much emotion, she laid her hand on my arm and said God will take care of everything.

Coincidence, nope! Both were sent by God! Thank you everyone for your support!
