Orphan Sunday

Today is Orphan Sunday. As I think about how I have said yes to God and have started this journey to adopt, my heart is breaking knowing the millions of orphans that are throughout this world hungry, alone, no place to live, sick from not having the proper medical care.  My heart cannot help but to think of my child that is out there, where I don't know just yet.  God has shown me over the past month just a small glimpse of how His heart breaks for the orphans.  I have honestly cried myself to sleep, cried as I woke up, at every hour of the day thinking, wondering, worrying about my little Peruvian Prince or Princess that is out there waiting for a mamma, a loving home.  I know that He has already chosen my child and will protect him/her until I can get there but still my heart breaks and longs for the day when we will meet.  Please join me today and everyday by praying for our orphans.  What can you do to help support orphans, whether here in our own backyard or across the globe?  Remember God has not called but demanded us all to step up,

"Once our eyes are opened we can't pretend we don't know what to do.  God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our soul knows we know and holds us responsible to act."  Proverbs 24:12
